FGF: Hand-me-down Heaven

What makes me feel good today?

Hand-me-downs.

LOTS of them.

We are so spoiled. My sister just happens to have 2 boys (6 & 8) and also just happened to keep every single piece of their previously-worn clothing neatly stored in bins that she rolls out for us each season. It's insane.

They have also given us a crib, dresser, stroller, pack-n-play, toys ... and the list goes on and on.

Spoiled, I tell you.

I have the best sister in the world!

See all the clothes in the pic below? That's only about 1/3 of what she gave us for summer.

Not having to drop tons of cash on summer clothes for the boy makes me soooo happy!

  1. I super love hand-me-downs, which has kept both my kids in bushels of clothes for many years! Nothing makes me happier than knowing that when Daughter outgrows her winter coat we'll have a practically new one waiting that I don't have to spend money on!!

  5. No Way! That is so cool!!! It will be especially great as Miles gets older. Bigger sizes is a LOT more $$$$$. I was amazed at the jump in price.

    Have a beautiful weekend :-)

  6. From FGF. I love hand me downs. I loved them as a kid too. I would get a box of clothes and my mother didn't mind if I was picky about what I liked and I could play at remaking things. It was great.

  11. That is AWESOME! I love myself some hand-me-downs. I woman we know lets us borrow some of her sons' old clothes. We return them, but it's really nice to use them. We pass on our clothes to a friend of our's... "free" clothes are the best!

And we also let our friends use our bassinet, stroller, toys, and other stuff... I mean, we aren't using them right now. They are relatively expensive. So we are more than happy to lend them out!

Anywho... have a great weekend and yay for hand-me-downs!

  15. We got loads of hand me downs when we first brought Alex home. He's outgrown them all now, so my baby clothes addiction is pretty costly. :)
